Rehearsing New Vintage :-)

Modern Hall - Old Music Y'all

Jack Letting it Be - a 60's travel!

Mr Whiffler's natural territory!

Winnie weeding from the scwipt.

And just to prove that the boy can sing!

A very hot, sunny April day finds the team in a hall rehearsing new material. What's new? It's all beautifully out there from the past to the present. In fact the present(ation) is the key (major of course but we love minor!)

April's were never this hot back in the day!

Vintage Norwich not April's Fool!

A Fine Visit!
Our intrepid Time Travel Team visit the finest city of Norwich on a very warm and bright April Fool's Day

Winnie having a spot of knob twiddling
An adorable televisual device from the Snelling Museum's exhibition in the Forum. Wonderful wirelesses and those new fangled visual televisions. Fancy that sound and moving pictures in your own home! Topper!

Jack contemplating whether to mushy pea or tea
No visit to Norwich is complete without a visit to the market and the famous Mushy Pea Stall. The best mushy peas around. Peas are a wonderful wartime staple. Pea puree pancakes, mmm! Pea soup... P'licious! Sorry!

Time Travel Team and CAKES!!!
No, we can't deny it - we definitely DO have a cake fetish! This is the most adorable tea room in Lower Goat Lane - Biddy's Tea Room. The interior is divine! The food perfection. Service old fashioned excellence. Everyone can have their own little Time Travel moment whilst enjoying sandwiches or home made cake. Honestly, GO ASAP!

So many perfect individual vintage shops - no wonder Winnie's smiling :-)
Norwich is the vintage lover's playground. Aunty Nana's is one of the loveliest shopping establishments. Really, the proprietors of these darling individual shops are second to none. Although we Time Travel, sadly we can't take things with us to the present day. This means much wistful eyeing up of vintage treasures.

We could mention so many other wonderful places but bloggings need to be short and sweet and there'll be other posts. TTFN

The Day we met the (Dad's Army) Vicar!

A FINE DO

The Wymondham Regal Experience group certainly know how to put on an aft'nune!

Time Travel Team Travelled in their Sunday best 'wartime' to the adorable historic market town of Wymondham to see the Dad's Army film.

We were also treated to some rare footage with the Dad's Army crew and some wartime 'shorts' (films not pants, silly).

Isn't it civilised to have tea and coffee in the interval with choc ices brought round? Sadly no Kiora but there is a bar! Fabulous old advertisements, who would guess they could be such fun? Even a raffle during the interval too and we won a book.

It was super to meet the very lovely Frank Williams who's quite unlike his character, the grumpy vicar from Dad's Army. 'Captain Mainwaring' from the Dad's Army Museum was a jolly decent fellow too. http://www.dadsarmythetford.org.uk/museum.htm

Check out the other Regal Experience features for the year:-

So a thoroughly spiffing Time Travelling Time :-) Roll on the next vintage outing!
